Deane Mariotti is a Principal at The K12 Search Group. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of candidate development including research, outreach, screening, and maintaining candidate communication. She also manages key client relationships. Prior to joining The K12 Search Group, Deane was Manager, Program Investments at The Chicago Public Education Fund. She primarily oversaw the Pritzker Expert Principals portfolio, including investments in University of Illinois-Chicago and an innovative partnership with Teach For America and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Deane previously worked in the finance and academic offices of the School District of Philadelphia, focusing on quality management and the use of data in educational systems. Prior to that, she taught fifth grade as a Teach For America corps member. Deane earned graduate degrees in Government Administration and Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her BA in International Relations, also from the University of Pennsylvania. Deane and her husband and daughter live outside of Philadelphia.
