/> Chris Barbic, Founder and CEO of YES Prep, is now CEO of the Tennessee Achievement School District;
Hae-Sin Thomas, a well known education reformer in Oakland, was recently named CEO of Education for Change?

When I meet people in our sector, they almost always want to know two things: what searches we are working on and who we have recently placed. Through talking to hundreds of senior professionals every week, we are able to consistently track some of the most interesting moves in our sector–whether they are our placements, placements orchestrated by our competitors, or one of the many transitions that happen without the help of a search firm.

Most of you receive my emails announcing our new searches. In addition, I’m going to start sending a monthly “Education Reformers on the Move” email, which will track new hires at the director level and above in reform oriented school systems, CMOs, foundations, funding organizations and other nonprofits that support the movement.

If you or someone you know has recently made a move that you think is appropriate for sector recognition, please feel free to email me the information. My plan is to send the email on the first Friday of every month.

Below are additional recent transitions that warrant congratulations.

Ash Solar, Manager, Talent Initiatives in Oakland Unified School District is moving to Nashville to become Chief Strategy & Talent Officer of the Tennessee Achievement School District.
